Description Senior Mechanical Engineer within Healthcare Neuromodulation Patient Care Devices. Responsible for providing mechanical design engineering support for instrument products and related accessories.
- Define, develop, evaluate and verify designs & proposed design changes to meet product requirement and cost targets.
- Technical work may be complex and difficult to relate to existing technologies, requiring broad application of knowledge and principles.
- Develop specifications, test methodologies, and test equipment to evaluate design concepts and product.
- Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution related to assigned design responsibilities.
- Participate on, or lead corrective action teams, as necessary to resolve product issues.
- Complete documentation and reports for testing and regulatory submissions.
- Develop schedules, timelines and resource requirements for completion of assigned work.
- Interface with multiple functional disciplines for design input, requirements and potential solutions to problems.
- Effective communication and teaming with other departments and customers.
- Provide work direction to technicians and designers for design, development and verification activities.
- Act as a liaison with external suppliers to ensure continuity of product supply by resolving supply and quality issues
- Work under minimal supervision.
- Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
Must have Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical
