Preferences Qualifications and Profile
1. Mechanical or Mechatronics Bachelor Engineering degree with basic knowledge of Engineering Mechanics, Vibrations, Solids Mechanics, Materials, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer is a minimum must. Master specialization is a premium asset;
2. 3-5 years of experience of applicable or similar working knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, compressors, engines) packages and/or piping systems projects is a must;
3. Customer focus attitude to meet internal and external customers' expectations is a must;
4. Safety oriented, understanding the implications of design decisions on safety, and abiding all industry standards and Flowserve policies on safety, is a must;
5. Able to identify and manage risks without becoming a hurdle to projects due to excessive conservatism, or lack of the ability to quantify the risks and to implement mitigation actions, is a must;
6. Quality oriented, understanding of the importance of appropriate, timely, expeditious, assertive and effective communications, to meet appropriate expectations on quality, is a must;
7. Able and interested, with the right attitude, to investigate and learn on the solution of any specific problem opportunity, and also learning from mistakes, is a must;
8. Capability to proactively, timely investigate, understand and interpret the appropriate industry standards required to meet internal design expectations, and to properly communicate and document with customers to define and agree on the actual requirements, is a must;
9. Responsive, dynamic, proactive, able to identify and to focus on the timely response to first priority tasks, looking to remove projects' hurdles and to meet deadlines, is a must;
10. Vocation to focus on the resolution and closure of any specific task and/or issue up to the Proficient, fluent management of verbal and written communications in English, is a must. Experience working with global multinational teams' projects is a premium asset;
11. Working knowledge of ANSI, HI, ASTM, API and ASME standards applicable to pumps, mechanical seals, pressure vessels, piping and package related components is an asset;
12. Working knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering, able to interpret and develop PFDs, P&IDs and EWDs is a premium asset;
13. Proven experience with software including:
n Excellent handling of Microsoft Office tools, specially Excel (mandatory), is a must;
n Design-drafting tools such as AutoCad Inventor (1 st choice), is a must;
n Knowledge and use/interpretation of structural/thermal/CFD FEA results, is a premium asset;
n MRP/ERP system handling, is an asset;
14. Basic knowledge of planning, costs estimation, project management tools is a premium asset;
