Test Requirements Engineer

Job Description:

Provide systems engineering technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) - System Engineering Test Requirements (DE/EEF) by identifying and resolving complex problems crossing organizational boundaries, as well as promulgating solutions. Position may require occasional travel.

Duties:

Support MDA/EEFE (EEF Execution) test requirements development, coordination, and execution.

General Duties:

Perform mission analysis, capability requirements and allocation analysis, top-level design synthesis, and functional analysis and allocation.

Engage in concept planning; design and development; integration, testing and verification at the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) system, element or component level.

In cooperation with coworkers, identify needs of internal and external customers and address their concerns.

Develop and present technical briefings and reports to Senior Executives.

Detailed Duties:

Support flight and/or ground test Requirements Leads (RL) to identify test requirements and test objective development, coordination, and execution.

Support the RL by interfacing and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and verify correct capture of test requirements for inclusion in MDA test documentation, including Test Objectives Memoranda and associated Test Objectives.

Support cradle-to-grave awareness of test planning by assisting with MDA/DE roles and responsibilities related to execution of the Flight/Ground Test Readiness CONOPS and Flight/Ground Test Execution CONOPS.

Identify, track and assist in resolving Action Items and Watch Items resulting from the test requirement coordination process.

Develop executive level briefings based upon supervisor vision and guidance

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 6-7 yrs experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) in research & development role.

Minimum of 3 yrs experience supporting MDA.

Active Secret clearance required.

Experience supporting Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test planning and/or requirements highly desired.

Experience supporting BMDS flight test execution highly desired.
