We are currently building our in house Reliability Lab staff and are looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our team. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.
In this role you will have the opportunity to improve existing test equipment and design and build new test equipment, necessary to perform validation and analysis on Molex products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, build, and program new test equipment to support electrical, environmental, vibration, and force measurements. Supporting role for Sr. Test Engineers, Test Engineers, and Technicians.
- Conduct product testing to validate new or improved measurement systems. Set up and operate standard and custom test equipment and chambers.
- Support and improve existing test equipment by performing maintenance, re-configuration, and programming. Supporting role for Sr. Test Engineers, Test Engineers, and Technicians.
- Develop training documentation and provide physical training for Test Lab Employees including build, programming, and measurement techniques.
- Does Assist with product evaluation and performance analysis. Utilizing standard departmental procedures, develops and modifies Best Practices to establish performance and reliability of the products being tested.
- Prepares detailed test reports. Includes the purpose, a summary, conclusions, part numbers and component details of the product being tested, procedures and equipment used, etc.
- Conducts standard failure analysis and provides detailed reports as needed. Works with test and project engineers to create E8D's to evaluate results and provide corrective actions or recommendations.
- Supports Molex TQM program by following approved policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, physics or similar technical field.
- 4 years' experience in an electrical/electronic lab environment
PREFERRED
- 6 or more years of experience with electrical measurement techniques and equipment design.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: - 3 years National Instruments hardware design and build knowledge
- of 3 years Labview program design and development.
- Knowledge of DC circuits including finite resistance, voltage, and current measurement techniques.
- Computer skills including Windows-based software, and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing
PREFERRED:
- C+ programming experience.
- Experience with VB.Net, IEEE488 instrument control.
- Knowledge of PC based statistical analysis software
