POSITION SUMMARY It is expected that the Infrastructure Engineer will have a deep understanding of the best practices in compute, network and storage functions and will elicit and document business and technical requirements as part of a system integration project. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying and administering IT servers and the associated hardware environment and report to the Infrastructure Architect and/or to the project management leadership.

- As part of the Infrastructure Support Team, be responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT Network, Database and System Infrastructure
- Support the design; development and operation of the Capacity and Availability (Security) Management processes for the IT Network, Database and System Infrastructure
- Provide 1st line support for the Network and System Infrastructure
- Attain the agreed levels of performance for Incident and Problem management as detailed in the appropriate service level agreements
- Conduct root cause analysis of network, server and storage malfunctions and document the analysis
- Provide technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge
- Understand and implement security protocols and adopt best practices of securing the environments following the guidance of established procedures and also the Infrastructure Architect
- Responsible for both On-Premise and cloud environments
- Exposed to DevOps role of application deployments, code migration, continuous integration and other software management and maintenance concepts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Mid to senior level Infrastructure experience
- Good exposure to Linux based platforms
- Exposure to different hardware topologies and architectures (Cloud, bare metal and virtualized environments)
- Good analytical ability to conduct root cause analysis and debug issues
- Good Knowledge of ITIL and incident management concepts
- Good interpersonal skills and have the ability to self-motivate and be goal driven
- Relevant certifications for the networking and systems maintenance required
- Preferred to have exposure to Oracle cloud and Oracle ESB product offerings
- Preferred to have exposure to applications involving service orchestration
