Alfred University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Division of Mathematics & Computer Science at the Assistant Professor level beginning August, 2018.
Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit courses per semester.
Requirements: A Ph.D. in mathematics at the time of appointment is preferred; ABD will be considered at the rank of Instructor. Well qualified candidates in all mathematics-related areas will be considered.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to quality; innovative teaching; maintaining an active research program; and engaging with the life of the College.
Experience: Experience in computer science or actuarial science is desirable but not required.
Applicants should provide evidence of excellence in teaching; a desire to teach a diverse body of students in liberal arts, science, engineering, and business; and an ability to contribute to the Division's curriculum and its extracurricular activities.
