Position Summary: Supports Sallie Mae staff in the use of PC-based applications to solve business problems. Specific client responsibilities include software problem solving, support of software and hardware, end user training, and individual consulting. Responsible for resolving intermediate to advanced software problems that may require vendor coordination or other IS department coordination.
Key Responsibility: - Support Windows hardware and software 50%
- Image Workstations and deploy software package using SCCM 10%
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop hardware and software problems for a variety of end users 10%
- Respond to support requests daily 10%
- Provide exceptional IT Services to corporate office 10%
- Provide conference center system support for meetings and video conferencing systems 10%
Requirements Education: - Bachelor of Science degree in technology or equivalent work experience
Experience: - 3-5 years experience in a technology support role
- 3-5 years experience working in a banking/financial services institution
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional client service
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Microsoft certifications(s) - e.g. MOS
- MCDST - Microsoft Certifies Desktop Technician
- MCP, Network+, and A+ certifications
- Experience with conference center systems
Other:
- Attends training sessions, staff meetings, and designated project meetings
- Responsible for maintaining secure computing practices in carrying out all duties. This includes encouraging and reminding users to follow the firm's technical policies and procedures.
- Fill in for other team members during absences
- Maintain on-call availability on a rotation basis via supplied communications device
