What part will you play? This position is responsible for the architectural design, build, stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the large-scale digital operations platforms that support Turner's News, Sports, and Entertainment websites.
What will you be doing? The Senior Engineer must possess very strong technical and problem-solving skills. Candidates must possess the ability to work under pressure with aggressive deadlines, prioritize projects, and maintain focus in the face of sudden-onset technical issues and breaking news situations. The individual must have a positive attitude, strong leadership and collaboration skills, a passion for lean process and agile methodology, and should be an innovative, creative, quick-thinking fast learner and team player with a strong customer-service focus.
What do we require from you? - Tactful, resourceful and possesses an agile, "DevOps" approach to systems engineering.
- Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent practical work experience.
- 5+ years of verifiable experience in system administration, architecture and implementation for enterprise-level organizations.
- Works well with others in an integrated team environment.
- Must be able to mentor and train other system engineers on architectural best practices and operations-related issues.
- Knowledgeable regarding emerging technologies in the digital media marketplace.
Preferred skill sets ?
- Practical experience operating systems in the public clouds run by Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of DivvyCloud, FoxPass, AlertLogic, and CloudHealth a bonus.
- Familiarity with security best practices around authentication/authorization:
- SAML, IAM, MFA, key management.
