ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a Structural Engineer, focused on Bridge Design, to work as a member of our structural services team in our Manchester, Connecticut office.
The successful candidate will act as the lead structural engineer on multi-discipline projects throughout New England primarily focused on bridges and water control structures; a secondary focus on buildings. Technical responsibilities include: designing bridges and structural systems, preparing construction documents, and performing periodic site visits during design and construction phases.
The successful candidate will work under the leadership of a Senior Structural Engineer and will have the opportunity to coach and mentor peers.
This position offers great growth potential for advancement and expanding the firmtructural services throughout southeastern New England.
Position Requirements - Bacheloregree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering and design
- Advanced skills in Microstation required
- Previous experience with ConnDOT, MassDOT and RIDOT preferred
- Experience with bridge engineering and design required
- AutoCAD capabilities desirable
- Possess EIT license with ability to sit for PE in the near future desirable
