The University of Cincinnatiepartment of Rehabilitation, Exercise, and Nutrition Sciences is currently accepting applications for a Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor with responsibilities in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program. This is a part-time (.75 FTE / approximately 30 hours/week) benefits-eligible, 9-months per year, 3 year term position. This position is ideal for a licensed Occupational Therapist who wishes to become more involved in higher education. The ideal candidate will be able to independently teach occupation based graduate coursework related to patient care management for neuromuscular conditions.
Job Description: On a part-time, limited term basis, Visiting Faculty Membersincipal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: - OH OT license or eligibility
- Three years of full-time work experience as a licensed occupational therapist
- College level teaching experience
- Evidence of working with students in classroom and / or clinical settings
- Evidence of excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, post-professional OTD, or similar credential)
- Experience with e-learning or distance learning
- Teaching and clinical experience in areas of motor learning and neurological rehabilitation
- Teaching experience at both graduate and undergraduate levels
- Demonstrated student mentorship experience
