About this role:
The Solutions Engineer role will provide a unique opportunity to be part of the application integration between RingCentral and leading IMS providers, and will work closely with Tier1 carriers around the world to bring our world class UCaaS experience to VoLTE customers.
Responsibilities: - Play a key role in the application integration between RingCentral and leading IMS providers
- Help analyze field problems by studying PCAP logs and providing the way forward for development teams
- Carryout end-to-end solutions/system designs for features and services including protocols, interfaces and associated complete system behaviors
- Work closely with Tier1 carriers around the world and use your HW/SW integration skills to bring RingCentralorld class UCaaS experience to VoLTE customers
- Manage vendor relationships
Qualifications: - Excellent understanding of IMS architecture including components such as CSCF, HSS, PCRF, AS etc.
- Knowledge on IMS integration with OSS/BSS layer
- Ability to respond to partner RFI/RFO
- Excellent skills in documentation of call flows and IWD
- Basic Knowledge in VoIP Security with a particular focus on DDoS and TDoS
- Good understanding of operating principles for IMS client and codecs.
- Protocol Literacy: SIP, Diameter, ENUM, DNS, SDP, RTP, TLS
- Knowledge in VoIP, L2/L3 VPN, and QOS
- Frequent experience using Wireshark, or other protocol analysis utilities
- Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes
- Ability to communicate complex processes and protocols to audiences of various skill levels
- Ability to collaborate and maintain internal processes and provide skills training to other staff on an as-required basis
- 5-10 years of telecommunications experience
- Shell, perl or scripting experience very helpful
- Experience with Wireless Architecture, Protocols and Interfaces
- Experience with LTE core system interfaces
- SBC experience is a must (preferred Oracle/ACME)
- Working knowledge of Unified communications, hosted office
- BS degree in EE/CS or other technical discipline
