Requirements Engineer

Position Overview: Requirements Engineer responsible for the development, maintenance and coordination of schedules and plans for the implementation of planned updates to include Future Capability growth, fixes as identified from testing at the element level, and as directed by the MDA Requirements Lead Engineer. Participate and support the Core Standards Working Group, providing analysis and products to maintain current status of weapon system compliance with published standards and . Provide support and backup to the DOORS engineer capable of providing monthly updates in the absence of the DOORS engineer. Supports Interface Working Group and ITAG as changes to the interfaces between both THAAD and other elements of the BMDS and within the components of THAAD to include the AN/TPY-2 radar. Coordinates with U.S. Army to provide input to Capability Production Document and Army's Desired Capability List. Supports requirements development with evolving threats, identifying changes in threats currently assigned to THAAD and new threats that have not yet been assigned. Assists the THSH Division Chief in the review, assessment and reporting of trace data, verification data and validation data using the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), to include review and reporting status of monthly updates (contract deliverables) of the THAAD database. Assists in the development and coordination of change documentation to reflect Phased Implementation Plan for new development, and U.S. Army requests for future development. Position requires ability to work closely with Warfighter personnel at the TRADOC Capability Manager for THAAD at Fort Sill and with MDA/EED; the engineer may be required to represent THSH during coordination and meetings with the THAAD Project Office or MDA as directed; reviews performance, reports and deliverables from the prime contractor to assess and report status to the THSH Division Chief. Must be capable of participating and supporting analyses, and preparation of results of analyses, findings and reports for the THSH Division Chief.
Experience Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills. Capability to use the Microsoft Office package to include Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Project. Ability to work independently. Familiarity with MDA Software processes and Acquisition Management procedures. Requires past experience with data entry, data manipulation, and reports development with Databases. Willingness to learn new processes and procedures and discipline to follow established procedures.
Desired Skills: Familiarity and past experience with THAAD Weapon System and/or Missile Defense Agency.
