Job Summary AECOM is seeking a Instrumentation and Control Supervising Discipline Engineer II or III to be based in our Warrenville, Illinois location
Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:
Supervising Discipline Engineer II
- Intermediate level of knowledge within a specific discipline and an understanding of the other disciplines.
- Very familiar with the preparation and execution of project scope for a discipline.
- Very familiar with business development concepts and methods and able to lead the project proposal process.
- Strong understanding of discipline tools and knowledge of company cornerstone applications.
- Able to lead the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements for a project and can monitor the effect of these on the budget.
- Has a solid understanding and can lead all aspects of estimating for a discipline.
- Fully understands and leads the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks within a specific discipline.
- Fully understands the project change control process, can train others, and identify potential changes.
- Responsible for performance management and mentoring.
- Provides assistance to projects to address technical issues related to process improvement.
- Assists in training and mentoring/coaching other team members.
- Assists in the development of training programs within area of technical expertise and conducts training sessions as appropriate.
- Creates positive working relationships with peer leaders.
- Creates productive relationships with organizations.
Supervising Discipline Engineer III
- Has an advanced level of knowledge within a specific discipline and a strong understanding of the other disciplines.
- Fully versed in the preparation and execution of project scope for a specific discipline.
- Fully versed in business development concepts and methods and leads the project proposal process.
- Strong understanding of discipline tools and of company cornerstone applications.
- Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and information regarding technical and economic factors including physical, chemical, environmental, maintenance, operational, regulatory, constructability, and/or schedule factors relating to a specific subject within a discipline.
- Leads the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements for a project and can monitor the effect of these on the budget.
- Has mastered and can lead all aspects of estimating for a discipline.
- Fully understands and leads the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks within a specific discipline.
- Fully versed in the project change control process, can train others and identify potential changes.

Minimum Requirements Supervising Discipline Engineer II
Education: - Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a four year accredited college or university.
Experience:
- 5 years of professional experience in an engineering and/or construction environment
- Professional Engineering License required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant and be willing to perform in plant engineering activities in Rad controlled areas.
- Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
Supervising Discipline Engineer III
Education: - Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a four year accredited college or university.
Experience: - 6 years of professional experience in an engineering and/or construction environment
- Professional Engineering License required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant and be willing to perform engineering activities in Rad controlled areas.
- Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications - 2 years experience in Nuclear Power Industry
- Experience in either cyber-security, fire protection, or digital upgrades
