Position Description The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, academic year faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank beginning Fall 2018.
We are particularly seeking candidates with teaching and research interests in enterprise/industrial analytics and applications of data science in industrial engineering.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering, establish an externally-funded research program, contribute to mentoring students, and provide services to the department, the university, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only)
Required Qualifications / Specialized Skills
A Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering, data science, systems engineering, operations research, or a closely related field is required.
Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and laboratory and project-based instruction and a broad-based knowledge of industrial engineering. Demonstrated ability in written and oral use of the English language is required.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
Candidates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply.
