As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

About the Opportunity
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Moat, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the build, deployment, and tooling infrastructure for our client-side analytics codebase. You will architect, design, and write code to implement new systems that support a product which analyzes tens of billions of requests per day. This is a role where youhave an influence on the direction of many key processes at Moat as well as have an opportunity to provide mentorship for other engineers.
About You BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Expert knowledge of Python and fluency in at least one other backend language
Proficient in client-side JavaScript, including experience with modern JS build chain and related tools (i.e. webpack, gulp, npm, yarn, etc)
Comfortable with Linux and Bash
Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience with:
- Amazon Web Services
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Unit testing / AB testing
- Continuous integration / delivery
- Relational database design
- A passion for fast, abstract, maintainable, and efficient code.
