Restaurants CRM Engineers work on game changing features that reach millions of people per day, such as:
- Developing digital marketing tools to promote TripAdvisor products to global restaurant owner
- Integrating with Restaurant Reservation systems to enable a fast and convenient online booking experience
- Enabling Restaurant Owners to promote their listings based on unique targeting that is based on user's interests.
- Leveraging big data technologies to provide meaningful insights into travelers' dining experiences
What you will do: As a CRM engineer, you will become the expert on our email marketing automation platform that is used to communicate with end users and restaurant owners. You will leverage and extend internal platforms for managing push notifications, advertisements, and other on-site messaging to users. You will become the expert on where to find data, track marketing test results, and create marketing segments to support campaign management activities. From day one, you will write code that impacts millions of people. More specifically, you will:
- Use our data warehouse to create processes that handle hundreds of millions of records efficiently, experimenting with new features and technologies to make things scale
- Design and build MarTech tools, services and infrastructure to support CRM, eCommerce, and Digital Marketing campaigns
- Implement the integration with 3rd party tools and services as well as internal systems
- Build and maintain new ExactTarget email campaigns while adding to and improving the code base
- Develop tools to configure, monitor and automate infrastructure
- Work closely with our business partners to shape the product and maximize the impact of engineering work.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- CRM, Marketing Automation, Web Development, and Marketing Technology Experience
- Understanding of common data structures and algorithms and the implications of their use
- Java or C++ development experience in a UNIX or linux environment
- Knowledge and experience with an RDBMS and SQL
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive or other NoSQL or map-reduce technologies is a plus.
- Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to share expertise and learnings with peers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Skills in scripting with shell or Python is a plus
- Experience with ExactTarget or a similar Marketing Automation platform
