Interface/Interoperability Systems Engineer

Responsibilities: Work with DE, AB, BC, TH, and LTPO to flesh out concepts for Automated Engagement Coordination (AEC) to include Preferred Shooter.
Develop, in support of EED, new or modified requirements for AEC, Preferred Shooter, and Engagement Coordination Decision Aids (ECDA).
Work with BMDS Elements, and MDASG, to develop urgent updates to MIL-STD-6016 (and potentially MIL-STD-6018, MIL-STD-3011 and MIL-STD-6020) in order to satisfy functional and interface requirements identified by DE
Perform work to incorporate Ground and Flight Test assessments for documentation and specification changes for Increment 7 mandatory ICPs and incorporation of
Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection (EA/EP) requirements into Link 16 updates and also impacts of HGV JEON.
Provide technical expertise on Interface and Interoperability requirements development, update, and implementation.
Assess compliance of BMDS Element Link 16 designs against MDA technical core standards (i.e., BMDSS, L16 Part II ICD, MDA-STD-007). Document variances as required and make recommendations on technical gaps.
Process BMDS-level interface updates and changes through the DE-chartered ICWG.
Assist in the development of new MIL-STD Interface Change Proposal's (ICPs) to meet emerging requirements or resolve interoperability issues.
Maintain configuration control for technical and non-technical baseline interface documents IAW established ITAG and ICWG processes.
Create Technical Compliance documents, briefings, and White Papers as required.
Participate in program-level test event risk and BDR-related assessments, meetings, TIMs, and reviews through all phases of the test process IAW MDA policies and procedures. Collect, edit, coordinate, distribute, and report results. Prepare reports, briefings, and action items as necessary.
Experience: Five years of supporting development of Tactical Data Link requirements and Interoperability Requirements development and implementation and Interface Control management
