Would you like to perform rewarding work while contributing to the success of an established, growing company? Pragmatics, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the marketplace systems integration program within the office of information services at a healthcare-related federal agency.
The marketplace of this healthcare agency allows individuals and small employers to directly compare and shop for certain competitive private health insurance options, known as Qualified Health Plans (QHP), on the basis of price, quality, and other factors. This became operational on October 1, 2013 and will help enhance competition in the health insurance market, improve choice of affordable health insurance, and give small businesses similar options as large businesses.
This project includes performing system integration activities, as well as release management, environment management, communication, and participation in the change control process for marketplace environments. There will also be coordination activities for engaging with external applications and touch points that interact with the marketplace. These activities encompass both development and operations & maintenance (O&M), and provide a high-level view of all marketplace systems and other services supporting the ACA.
In coordination with the agencyMO, including both business and technical stakeholders, we will develop and implement processes and procedures to oversee and manage the evolution, integration, and operations of all marketplace systems and interfaces. We will be responsible for managing, synchronizing, and coordinating the integration of marketplace systems, system interfaces, and end user interfaces.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be performing the following responsibilities:
Duties - Define, manage, and maintain operations plan for managing business operations at data center support services and production control teams.
- Manage and oversee business operations monitoring and response processes at data center, which may include but are not limited to:
- Triage of events;
- Categorization and Prioritization;
- Routing of tickets to appropriate work groups;
- Oversee data center incident management, which includes:
- Service ticket management;
- Maintain Command and Control;
- Using Remedy;
- Assumption of role of Crisis Manager in coordination with client personnel.
Required Skills - Service desk experience.
- Remedy experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
Desired skills - Knowledge/experience with Linux, JBoss, Oracle, MarkLogic , and VMware environments
- Experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
