Job Summary:

Support the Color Division initiatives in the areas of Engineering, Process Improvement, and Manufacturing Technology. Provide engineering design and project management expertise in the design, construction, and start-up of capital projects throughout the Color Group. Directly coordinate or provide project oversight of outside engineering and construction firms on capital project executions. Provide specialist expertise in the area of process engineering, process control engineering, and systems engineering. Assist as needed in trouble shooting equipment and process problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop systems to ensure critical data is being collected and used to drive decision making within engineering function.
• Develop, engineer, implement and monitor all aspects of complex projects.
• Lead capital equipment projects.
• Monitor schedule and update as necessary to keep company management informed of potential delays.
• Provide engineering support as assigned to Color Group manufacturing sites.
• Perform preliminary engineering definition and conceptual design, or supervise external engineering design firms in such activities for various Color facility projects including designing modifications to existing buildings, equipment, and processes.
• Directly supervise or provide project oversight of outside engineering and construction firms on major capital project executions.
• Support the effort to standardize equipment and construction methods where feasible throughout the Color Group.
• Oversee testing, and introduction of new process equipment technology.
• Assist the various site engineering and operations teams in the development and execution of division capital initiatives.
• Assist in coordinating the Group's Five Year Facility Planning process.

Education & Experience:

• Bacheloregree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility required.
• Functional knowledge across multiple engineering technologies and recognized as a technical expert in core technologies applicable to the business unit.
• Working knowledge of lean tools and TPM implementation.
