Functions/Duties of Position
The School of Dentistry is seeking a Board Certified Periodontist to participate in education and patient care in the Department of Periodontology. Responsibilities of the position include participation in the education of residents and dental students, establishment and maintenance of a program of specific and general scholarly activity. Specific responsibilities will focus on clinical and didactic teaching at the graduate and predoctoral level, participating in dental research (including clinical research), participating in strategic planning activities, delivering continuing dental education, and providing direct patient care.
Job Requirements Required Qualifications: - D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalent
- Completion of advanced education program in Periodontics from a CODA accredited program
- Board Certification in Periodontics
- Ability to obtain Oregon Dental License and sedation certification
- Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
