The Connectivity Platform team is part of the Data Integration team and is responsible for building and maintaining connectivity services for other Microsoft products (such as Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps, LogicApps, Microsoft Flow, etc.) These services connect to myriad of SaaS and on-premise, relational and structured data sources. These nectorsable our various client products to build a truly innovative data access experience, and to provide customers with the ability to reach to their data in a seamless and uniform way. This significantly simplifies the effort required to generate reports, gather insights, or build workflows based on customer data.

We are the team responsible for engineering the next generation of connectors for both on-premise and cloud-based data sources. Our charter is to define what it means to build a connector that can be easily integrated into many varied products and services - whether they themselves are hosted in the cloud or deployed on-premise. We work across product teams to collaborate and deliver a holistic experience around architecture, development, management, and monitoring of these connectors. The cloud is a pivotal bet for Microsoft and cloud-based integration is a huge business opportunity. Our goal is to seamlessly unite the power of cloud with the natural business logic of on-premise systems and help customers reach higher productivity.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ year experience working as a software engineer (Experience in developing REST apis and web service is preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
