Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.
As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired.

Qualifications Senior Database Performance Engineer / DEVOPS
Detailed Description: As a Global Business Unit Cloud Services (GBUCS) Senior Database Performance Engineer, you will provide leadership and expertise in the evaluation, deployment, and support of GBUCS database systems. You will work closely with the Global Business Units in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. You will also act as a technical lead for database infrastructure related projects, working closely with GBUCS architects and leads from other technical teams to identify needs and opportunities. You will then work with the rest of the global database team to implement these innovative ideas as production ready services. As a senior member of the team, you will also assist in supporting global database operations by providing escalated operations expertise and mentoring junior members of the team.
Preferred Technical Skills/Education
- Possess 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Possess broad expertise in all aspects of database technology and articulate clearly solutions to complex problems within these areas
- Possess extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration and its advanced concepts including clustering (Oracle RAC) and Pluggable databases
- Possess extensive knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle database design
- Expert level Oracle SQL tuning skills
- Working knowledge of ASM, RMAN, Oracle Streams, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate
- Experience with full Oracle Red stack technologies
- System and storage administration experience a plus
- ITIL implementation / operational experience
- Bacheloregree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
