Summary of Role:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking an experienced Reliability & Quality Engineer. Responsibility for High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) product reliability at GLOBALFOUNDRIESlta Site. Manage and drive technology post-qualification activities using internal and external qualification vehicles through effective resolution of issues and continuous improvement, manage and working with cross functional modules and owners across sites and Fabs to ensure timely closure. This position will be located at GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Malta, NY.

Essential Responsibilities:

Verify complete closure on reliability and related quality items before formal technology qualification documents are released and HVM ramp up is approved

Be integral part of manufacturing line Material Review processes by driving analysis of impact on customer products, delivering reliability assessment plans and proposing material disposition solutions

Partake in Technology Process Change Reviews by providing assessment on reliability impact, repose DOE and specific data acquisition to satisfy the QRA needs for HVM

Ensure flawless execution on process reliability monitoring by working with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. manufacturing, integration, reliability)

Assess and drive correlation studies between yield and reliability performance to accelerate response time in the manufacturing line process changes

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline

6-7 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated skills in copper integration and processing

Fluent in English Language itten & verbal

Ability to relocate to Malta, NY.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters and or PhD in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline

3 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated skills in copper integration and processing

Knowledge of reliability methodologies and statistics

Demonstrated advanced analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments

Ability to manage complex projects across multiple disciplines

Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs

Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization particularly in a global environment and experience in working with external constituencies

Strong background in customer engagements with demonstrated customer engagements
