As an Engineer, you will work in one of Hallmarkistribution and fulfillment facilities to lead not only department, but end-to-end, facility-wide efforts to improve costs and maximize efficiency. In this position, you will apply engineering principles, industry experience, and technical leadership to the design and implementation of new or improved products, processes, and services that provide the greatest promise of results for Hallmarkistribution and fulfillment operation.
The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of knowledge that suitably serves the constantly evolving needs of our company and will promote the larger success of our endeavors. The ability to balance conceptual thinking with deep analysis and the knowledge of when to switch between the two is imperative in this position.
In this position, you can expect to be accountable for:
- Writing appropriations and managing projects end-to-end.
- Analyzing the distribution, fulfillment, and production processes, facility design and line layouts to ensure optimal operations, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Developing improvement strategies through analysis and rood cause problem solving.
- Overseeing implementation of process change, development metrics to evaluate that the process is being followed and that it brings value to the organization.
- Completing analysis and implementation for special projects such as line layout improvements, capital investment decisions, capacity analysis, space optimization, product packaging improvements, and process capability.
- Acting as a team facilitator or team member to provide engineering expertise or technical assistance to meet project expectations and timelines on time and under budget.
- Providing ergonomic analysis to ensure a safe working environment.
- Providing leadership or support for LEAN projects.
This position requires the ability to partner with all levels of management across the company, strong leadership and communication skills, innovative problem solving, the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at once effectively dealing with ambiguity and frequent demand changes, and the ability to negotiate and manage external suppliers and vendors to meet project expectations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Bacheloregree in Engineering
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in Distribution, Fulfillment, Operations, or Supply Chain.
- Bacheloregree with a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering focus.
- LEAN Logistics or LEAN Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Excel and Auto CAD.
- Ability to communicate clearly with confidence, authority, and credibility with all levels of the organization.
- Proven process and technical skills.
- Excellent prioritization skills.
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and frequent demand changes.
- Strong negotiation skills.

- The Engineer position is located at HallmarkSG Distribution Center located at the SubTropolis caves facility located approximately 10 miles north of Downtown Kansas City, MO.
- This is a 1st shift, full-time opportunity. The work hours are 8:00 a.m. 00 p.m. (start time may vary).
