The Head & Neck SPORE is seeking a part- or full-time Software Engineer to support software solutions for management of clinical, pathologic and genomic data in an enterprise healthcare environment. The Software Engineer will assist with day-to-day needs including continual hardware and software upgrades and database maintenance operations. In addition, the Software Engineer will assist in building and maintaining a robust web-based software solution for the processing of large-scale clinical and genomics data.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, database management, developing, deploying and maintaining ASP.NET or JAVA-based web application in a Windows Server environment, user interface development, and managing and using Oracle as a backend database for web applications.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
Qualified candidates should hold a Master's degree in Computer Science. Applicants are expected to have at least intermediate experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), back-end programming languages (C# or JAVA), and SQL databases. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience in web application development for large and complex data in clinical research settings.
