Abrazo Scottsdale Campus (located at AZ-51 and Bell Road in Phoenix) is a 136-bed full-service acute care community-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medical care to patients in the northeastern region of metro Phoenix for more than 30 years. Abrazo Scottsdale Campus provides specialized services such as an accredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric (high pressure) medicine, advanced orthopedics featuring navigational technology and sports medicine, expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging, and dedicated womenrograms.
BioMed Engineer Full Time Day Shift Scottsdale Campus
The Biomedical Engineer installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies performance of equipment in a specialty area and demonstrates above average knowledge and expertise. Areas of specialty are categories of equipment such as imaging, lasers, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, clinical lab, and sterilization equipment. This individual is required to be familiar with most classes of clinical equipment and may perform maintenance on equipment outside the specialty area. The Biomedical Engineer may serve as an advisor to medical and clinical staff in the specification, acquisition, safe use, and proper operation of specialty equipment. The individual may serve as an advisor to other biomedical engineering personnel on technical matters concerning specialty equipment. The individual demonstrates adherence to the core values of the organization in all professional interactions.
Special Skills: Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays and/or weekends as required. Must be able to perform work from ladders and other high places; must possess normal color vision and normal or correctable hearing. Must be able to work in confined or restricted spaces wearing protective equipment as required and able to work in extreme indoor and outdoor conditions. Must be able to transport self to various sites as required. When using own vehicle or company provided vehicle, must have valid Arizona driverscense and proof of insurance that meets the minimum standards of the state of Arizona.

Qualifications Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, on-the-job training or relevant experience.
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of experience related to specialty area.
Preferred Certifications: Certification in Biomedical Engineering from recognized certification organization.
