The Storefronts team is looking for an exceptionally technical software engineer who will help us deliver great quality around the Windows Store experiences from an end user perspective. There is opportunity for significant cross-team interactions with the Windows Division and Universal Store (UST) teams, so the ideal candidate will possess experience in working on complex, cross-team, engineering initiatives. This position requires a strong passion for scenario focused testing, telemetry & data insights/analysis, e2e scenario automation and tooling plus end-user advocacy. We use Windows Store telemetry data from users to identify patterns, predict behavior using AI/ Machine learning methods and discover valuable insights about the Windows Store features. We ensure that Windows Store is able to provide the best platform for developers to showcase compelling cross-device experiences with Windows, including IoT class devices. We want to deliver a world-class marketplace experience leveraging both Microsoft technologies and other compatible stacks and platforms to make Windows Store. For all the areas described above, we want to take a data-driven, customer-obsessed approach to validate that the end user experience on the Windows Store is world-class.

Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in designing, developing and testing software
Preferred Qualifications: - Degree in computer science or equivalent
- Passion for software quality with good understanding of software development cycle
- Passion for using a data driven approach to software engineering
- Knowledge and experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval or statistics
- Strong skills in Python, R and SQL
- Strong coding and debugging skills in modern object-oriented language
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
