Job Description : Job Responsibilities : Sikorsky Aircraft is seeking a candidate to support the CRH program at the DFC in WPB, FL facility in the area of avionics/electrical engineering. Familiarity with modern avionics architectures, components and system engineering processes is preferred. Tasks include all aspects of test engineering which includes but is not limited to the following: ATP support, requirement analysis and allocation, bit monitoring, software loading, running script files, troubleshooting, conducting flight test, plans, data analysis and writing test plans and reports. The candidate will be required to be on the cleared to fly list and must meet the qualification criteria to represent Sikorsky in these flight test activities. Specifically for the CRH program the responsibilities are for a Navigation engineer supporting the flight test effort with the skills mentioned above. For the CRH program part of the flight testing effort will be conducted at Duke Field, FL.
Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required or equivalent years of experience.
Master's degree in Engineering is desirable.
Desired skills Experience/Qualifications: Demonstrate understanding of helicopter systems, helicopter avionics systems, helicopter computer architectures, systems integration and sensor operation. Demonstrated ability to pull requirements into the flight plans and conduct the flight plans to meet these system requirements.
Pilot's license or familiarity with flight procedures is desirable.
Additional Comments: The position is located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Domestic and International travel may be required. During the flight testing phase the candidate will be required to be in Duke Field, FL to support the flight test effort. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
