The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an experienced Support Planning Engineer (Level 3) to join the Boeing Guidance Repair Center (BGRC) located in Heath, OH.
Primary Responsibilities Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Provides Specification Control to match requirements of Drawing to parts ordered
- Provides Recommendations for Part Sources based on requirement of Drawing
- Provides engineering support and analysis to ensure supportability and maintainability of support products and services; influences product definition and design to enhance supportability
- Defines, evaluates and maintains supportability and maintainability requirements for product and program
- Acts as a support focal for production, support and maintenance equipment requirements
- Evaluates engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes; manages implementation of changes
- Establishes planning and design criteria to develop integrated support and maintenance infrastructure
- Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance to customers, ground support equipment and maintenance facilities
- Coordinates and supports proposal development; supports contract negotiations
- Works under general direction
Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with the procurement process
- Experience with bills of material or part obsolescence
Preferred Qualifications: - Aerospace Component Source experience
- Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
- Ground Support Equipment or Maintenance Tooling experience
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Typical Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
