Title: Engineer, PDP Assembly ME - 38018
Your Responsibilities As an Engineer, PDP Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, for the John Deere Harvester Seeding Group located in Moline, IL, you will be a core team member on a cross functional team for New Planter Product Programs, thus leading manufacturing changes and implementing new processes to the factory. In addition, you will:
- Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope
- Innovates and implements new product program with quality, safety and ergonomic principles
- Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations
- Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing flow with best practices. Design layouts to enhance material flow and material presentation
- Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
- Analyzes and makes modifications to existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans
- Communicate Manufacturing plans to teams and factory leadership

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years experience in one or more related engineering areas: Industrial, Production, Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Experience with capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process
- Experience with database management tools, process management systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Experience in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools
- Experience in manufacturing, quality, tooling, line design, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facility layouts
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with the Process Planning tools (W-Planner)
- Experience with the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)
- Experience with MES, via JDAAT & AMES
- Experience with union environment and incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
- Experience of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control) and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience with Creo/Pro-E 3D modeling tools
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D and 3D) layouts
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
