Job Description and Requirements You will be a member of the R&D team for the Formality product.
The R&D teams are distributed among three locations-- Hillsboro, OR, Marlboro, MA, and Sunnyvale, CA.
We are open to candidates working in any of these three locations.
Primary Responsibilities: - Enhance the product through algorithm development and code implementation.
- Learn, analyze, test, debug, and maintain the existing Formality code base.
- Interact with other members of Synopsys R&D, customer support, and sales experts as necessary to understand customer needs and product goals.
Skills Required:
- Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge base equivalent may be desirable.
- Software development experience with C or C++
- Broad understanding of data structures, algorithms, heuristics, and their application
- Familiarity with Unix and associated software development tools
- Experience working on complex software projects, showing good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exercise of judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to meet project goals. Comfortable with learning and applying new technologies.
- Ability to work in both independent and collaborative settings.
- Good written and oral communication skills, for team collaboration and product presentations.
Skills Desired:
- MS in related technical field (EE/CS/Math/Physics) or PhD.
- Special consideration given to those with background and experience in formal verification, physical implementation and/or synthesis techniques.
- Knowledge of software specification and design process, and regression testing.
