Description:

• Connected Vehicle & Services is seeking a Systems Engineer to define/develop/launch and support connected vehicle features globally. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for production support of current features/enablers in the Connected Vehicle & Services ecosystem.
• Responsible for end to end ongoing production support of feature integration into the client Mobility Platform.
• Support end to end business process flow that cascade to vehicle components and off board application within client Mobility Platform.
• Work with strategic teams to migrate features to new vehicle programs. Work with Verification teams, Plants & Customers to Triage/ Root Cause / Resolve Issues.
• Support and works with cross functional groups to develop interoperability interfaces across sub systems and translate them into sub system level requirements for building state-of-the-art connected vehicle systems architecture.
• Provide guidance and inputs for feature design verification plans working with requirements engineering teams and feature owners.
• Responsible for supporting production issues and management tools to multiple sub systems.
• Maintaining open requirements issue list, review, track and report on progress and status in the project management tools.
• Issue change requests when necessary, champion CRhrough the process and ensure all impacted documents are updated upon approval of CRs

Skills Required:

• BS Engineering or Computer Science or strongly related discipline
• Thorough understanding of interoperability techniques and standards for information technology systems.
• Strong knowledge of Database Design, SQL Quires and hands-on implementation creating ad-hock reports and data analysis with excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks on hand by evaluating long term implications.
• 2 years + experience business analyst, Database Design, SQL Quires, product engineering or software development.
• 2 years + experience in creating/managing documentations and issues list on SharePoint.
• 3+ years of experience in Production Support & Release engineering

Skills Preferred:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills for overall production support.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and ability to work under aggressive timelines and sporadic heavy workloads.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with support personnel, application development personnel, vendors and management.
• Be a self-learner of newer concepts and application development best practices and trends.
• Possess sustainability against changing demand from internal & external business requirements.
• Be accustomed to operating agile and quickly to meet customer product demand.
• Above all willingness to dive into details to solve system integration challenges.

Experience Required:

• 2 years + experience business analyst, Database Design, SQL Quires, product engineering or software development.
• 2 years + experience in creating/managing documentations and issues list on SharePoint.
• 3+ years of experience in Production Support & Release engineering

Education Required:

• BS Engineering or Computer Science or strongly related discipline

Education Preferred:

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering Disciplines.
• Knowledge of vehicle to cloud connectivity or knowledge of Internet of Things.
• Experience with vehicle telematics, cellular communications, telematics service providers, in-vehicle connectivity features implementations, cloud architecture, data analytics, V2V communications, embedded telecommunication devices.
• Good knowledge of XML, SOAP, REST, UML, Message Flows, SOA, Security, and Messaging concepts.
