We are located in Hood River which means you will be working in one of the most beautiful places in the US and an resort area for some of the best outdoor activities in Oregon. We work a 9/80 schedule which means 26 three day weekends a year. You will be working on challenging and interesting projects for a dynamic company that values a Pioneering spirit. This role will be providing Electrical Engineering support for the payload integration on our UAV systems. Will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting and developing electrical system/subsystem requirements and specifications. Allocate requirements across module-level design elements and conducts trade studies. Perform risk assessments and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies. Decomposes system requirements. Creates electrical system architectures and develops detailed electrical hardware and firmware designs. Establishes electronic hardware interface controls and de-conflicts interface violations. Develops and releases electronic hardware documentation packages. Develops and performs verification and validation procedures against operational and functional requirements. Conducts testing/analysis of avionics/electrical components, equipment, and systems. Establishes technical performance metrics. Diagnoses operational anomalies and makes design improvements and/or modifications. Participates in Project Design Reviews Qualifications Are you familiar with Analog, Digital, Power Distribution and EMI/EMC fundamentals-concepts within circuit design. Familiarity with Rigid PCB technologies (IPC Standards, PCB fabrication, PCBA Assembly processes and documentation standards, AS9100 standards), Ethernet, RS232 and VeriLog. (Familiarization with Flex and Rigid-Flex Technologies a plus)* EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience or MS in Electrical engineering with 8 years of experience in electronics hardware design SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: CAD TOOLS: Must have experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Mentor Graphics Xpedition. HYPERLINX - Signal Integrity simulation, Power Integrity simulation and Circuit Analysis tools (E.g. LTSpice). TEST AND DEBUG: Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Multi-meter, Programmable Load and other test tools. RF: Basic RF test experience requirement, RF simulation would be a plus. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio. PROGRAMMING SKILLS(ADDED BONUS): FPGA SOC/microcontroller, Verilog, Embedded-C MENTORSHIP: You will be responsible for mentoring junior level Engineers on the team. Prior experience as a mentor / lead or in a project management capacity is a strong plus.
