Our client, a very high net worth individual, is currently looking to recruit a Hospitality/ Events Manager. Duties and Responsibilities include:
Ability to meet objectives in all stages of event planning, design, and production.
Hire, train and educate staff on proper event procedures.
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Management of all project elements within time limits and on budget.
Able to conduct market research and gather information on unique theme / event.
Providing clear, well-written periodic reports about event planning.
Calculate budgets and adjust when necessary.
Book venues and negotiate fees.
Plan menus based on the event.
Able to clearly propose ideas to improve services and event quality.
Need to oversee facilities and manage all event details such as decor, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, equipment, etc.
Proactive approach to handling issues and troubleshooting any emerging problems on the event day.
Follow-through and willingness to conduct pre-and post-event evaluations, reporting on the outcomes.
Research skills to identify event opportunities and generate interest.
Skills The right candidate would have experience conceptualizing, organizing and executing a wide variety of events including private events such as dinners, weddings, birthday parties and others.
