New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Applications Administrator, NYU Scholars, reporting to the Director, High Performance Computing & Research Computing Support.
The role of Applications Administrator will play a key role in administering the NYU Scholars systems for the Abu Dhabi campus. The post holder will develop a fundamental understanding of NYU Scholars application, and act as focal point for all NYU Scholars Abu Dhabi related questions, requests and liaising with the team in NY as required. The role will serve as a technical expert in Abu Dhabi on system functionality, Developing various technical training documentation to be used in a variety of platforms (print, online, presentation), and conduct in-person and virtual training for faculty and supporting staff. Additionally the role will be responsible for managing a team of resources to complete the roll-out of NYU Scholars for the entire Abu Dhabi Campus.
Key Responsibilities - Manage a team of resources to complete the rollout of NYU Scholars across the entire Abu Dhabi Campus
- Develop a fundamental understanding of NYU Scholars application, and act as focal point for all NYU Scholars Abu Dhabi related questions and requests; laisse with the team in NY as required
- Develop various technical training documentation to be used in a variety of platforms (print, online, presentation), and conduct in-person and virtual training for faculty and supporting staff
- Design, develop, maintain and execute standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards using available reporting tools

- Degree in Libraries Science or Information Management
Experience requirements (essential)
- 1-2 years’ related experience with organizational learning, technical training delivery, and development of technical training materials and other change management efforts
Experience requirements (desirable)
- Experience working with academic employee population, University libraries, administering and configuring Pure from Elsevier or similar products, experience communicating technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Knowledge of publication and citations data, Pure and Scopus systems from Elsevier
