The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support to the various departments as assigned by the Administrative leadership. Performs full range of administrative duties which include calendar management, meeting scheduling, coordinates travel arrangements, prepares and processes expenses, event planning, assembles and prepares information for meeting packets, records, types and transcribes meeting minutes (includes maintaining original minutes documentation), prepares other documents as requested, maintains staff and departmental records and competencies. Manages supply inventory. Receives and processes mail and answers telephones. Facilitates the posting of new and updated policies. Maintain departmental offices. Interacts with hospital personnel and responds to patient/customer needs. Provide back up for Executive Assistant in Administration as requested.
Qualifications High school graduate with business procedures coursework Required
An AA degree and/or advanced business or office management course is desirable. Preferred
Prior secretarial experience. Required
Prior demonstrated successful experience in managing a busy, varied office environment. Required
Must possess effective problem-solving skills, ability to concentrate on a variety of tasks simultaneously and be able to work with minimal supervision. Intermediate
Knowledge of word processing applications and general secretarial duties required. Advanced
Ability to interact and communicate professionally; strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Intermediate
