Account Manager– Quantitative Research (M/F)
Permanent contract
ROLE DELIVERABLES:
Development of Client relationships:
- Maintain and nurture client relationships
- Develop new business from existing clients
- Good understanding of client business and market
- Manage and promote delivery to client expectations
Financial management:
- Accountable for managing projects and team to drive positive GM and profit
- Responsible for bringing and managing 2-3m AED revenue
- Pricing for success and profit
- Works with internal and external clients to identify cost effective solutions
Proposal process:
- Accountable for creation and integrity of proposal and pitch (focus on benefits)
- Responsible for turning complex research approaches into workable & profitable solutions
Project management / Fieldwork:
- Required to write proposals, design questionnaires, discussion guides, put together presentations with minimal input from a senior source
- Determine tasks and actions for exec team, allocate resources effectively, schedule and meet deadlines, brief support services, manage and evaluate project progress
- Suggest process improvements to suppliers and team
- Set standards of excellence, ensures high quality through thorough checking procedures
- Drive integration of team members to deliver excellence
- Clarify and manage roles and budget within project team
- Oversee change to meet business and client needs
- Manage the creation & review of materials to meet client needs
- Conduct qualitative fieldwork and analysis with minimal supervision (Qualitative Space)
- Design & facilitate insight generation & creative concept development (Ideas Architects)
- Should be able to build a story - client ready
Analysis/reporting:
- Provide sound guidance on analysis techniques and “finding the story”, finalize and ensure strategic content of conclusions and recommendations, always adding value to research results (both qualitative and quantitative)
- Generate insight and recommendations that demonstrate knowledge of client’s world and are based on client need
- Analyze data patterns in detail to understand significance and identify appropriate action (Quality Assurance)
Leadership, team and people management:
- Identify skills gaps and growth potential of team members, involve execs and juniors in planning and design of project, provide on the job training
- Ensure team members have objectives & development plans to support team goals and company strategy
- Assist in recruitment and development of staff in line with team and company needs
Communication:
- Actively listen and communicate openly with clients and internal teams
- Clearly and persuasively communicate complex issues, internally and externally
- Clearly and accurately write reports, presentations and proposal documents
- Deliver client presentations (both qualitative and quantitative)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum skills and knowledge:
- Completed tertiary education – degree in Marketing, eg. B Com/B Bus Sc (preferably Hons)
- Minimum work experience of AM – 4 years and SAM – 6 years in the research industry
- Research acumen
- Analytical ability with proven numeracy skills
- Computer literacy – proficiency on all MS Office packages
- Business writing skills
