We are currently looking for a Maintenance Project Manager to join the ENERCON team in our Barakah (UAE) location for a contract position.
*We currently have two (2) positions available*
This will be a contract position (24-months) based overseas in UAE.
GENERAL
1. Procurement of services of two Project Managers (PMs) to support the development, delivery, and implementation of various maintenance agreements at BNPP including:
- Assisting with Nawah readiness to integrate the Long-Term Maintenance Agreements (LTMAs) into the plant organization,
- Assisting with the preparation and establishment of support facilities and functions including maintenance workshops, tools & equipment, calibration facilities, etc.
- Supporting the development of contract management processes and procedures to ensure the requisite controls and governance are in the place of effectively manage and implement the various agreements
- Identifying and managing the risks associated with the establishment and delivery of the various maintenance and related agreements
- Developing and managing various sub-project schedules
The PMs will manage parts of or the full project lifecycle as determined by the specific projects assigned and the Nawah management team. Where required, the PMs will perform the feasibility assessments and initiation of projects, raise PRs, obtain necessary approvals and procure the required items and/or services. The PMs will be responsible for project planning, design, budget forecasting, budget approval, key performance indicators and execution/implementation of the project at BNPP site. The PMs will develop detailed implementation plans for the projects and execute them. Project progress and close out reports with KPIs and lessons learned will be essential.
2. The Project Manager services will last 24 months from the start date.
3. The maintenance strategic initiative is designed to support the full readiness to establish and integrate the various maintenance agreements into the Nawah organization. This will allow the opportunity to ensure the successful transition of plant maintenance responsibilities to the various maintenance agreements during the commissioning phase of BNPP Unit 1.
SCOPE OF SERVICES FOR THE 2 NOS. MAINTENANCE PROJECT MANAGERS

2. The PMs will manage parts of or the full project lifecycle as determined by the specific projects assigned and the Nawah management team. - The PMs will in a first phase be acquainted with the implementation approach of the various projects and agreements as described in the implementation plan.
- The PMs will be responsible for the timely execution of research, design, implementation and close out phases of the approved projects.
- The PMs will establish the required interfaces with the various Site and Plant organizations to facilitate the collation of various requirements and information to support the development and implementation of the various maintenance agreements.
- The PMs will manage the meetings, issue meeting notes, follow-up actions, maintain task list, maintain project plan, issue periodic reports, maintain performance indicators, develop budget forecast, etc.
- The PMs must be familiar with Nawah processes and will therefore be assisting in delivering project scope, cost, schedule and quality. The Project Manager must therefore possess in addition to technical acumen, strong organizational skills, clear and concise writing, editing and communication skills and abundant initiative, motivation, adaptability, comfort with uncertainty and cultural sensitivity.
- The PMs will be accountable for timely completion of the project within budget.
3. Principle Activities:
- Provide advice and assistance to support adherence to project processes
- Work with a range of stakeholders obtain and collate information and agree on appropriate actions
- Provide support and process advice at client meetings
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities with a view to developing a continuous improvement to the services
- Provide advice and guidance to the subject matter experts, stakeholders and the project team in the appropriate use of project methodology
- Work effectively within a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team environment
- Planning lifecycle coordination
- Schedule project updates
- Financial management (approvals and controls)
- Risk and issue lifecycle management and maintenance
- Facilitation and follow-up to scheduled meetings (Minutes of meetings, follow-up on actions, final revisions to documents, appropriate archiving)
- Planning, delivery, and maintenance of communications
- Developing and publishing Project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Developing governance and process documents and procedures
- Reporting and key management information assurance
- Key meetings administration and setup support
- Support Project Management team in maintaining and enforcing processes and procedures
- Communicate and disseminate information effectively to the project team
4. Project Controls Experience
- Understand Project Management environment, standard required controls (initiation documents, execution plans, reporting, monitoring, change controls, etc.)
- Efficient with organizational skills (setting up meetings, logistics, dealing with change)
- Documentation management experience
- Proficient writing and editing skills
- Good communication skills
5. Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree - Technical/Engineering or equivalent
- Project Management Experience
- Supplier to provide a copy of degree translated into English if required.
6. Professional Certification
- PMP or other equivalent Project/Program Management qualification desirable
7. Work Experience
- Eight (8) years minimum in a project management environment with working knowledge and application of Project Controls
- Change Management experience is desirable
- Experience in the nuclear industry, preferably in a technical environment
- Experience in performing and managing risk assessments
8. Technical Skills
- Proficient in English and Excellent MS Office Skills

10. Required Personal Attributes
- Can obtain Security Clearance and Site Access pass
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
- Ability to travel 15%-25%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
