Description:

We are looking for a competent, intelligent, motivated and independent person who will be able to work with minimal supervision. You will be in charge of managing a real estate portfolio of a private family, as well as researching for new ventures and opportunities.

With this job you will be working remotely. This means you can work from home, and will very occasionally be required to travel within the city (e.g. to complete payments) The hours are flexible- some days you will work for only an hour. It depends on your competence, however fast you are able to complete the task ;)

EXAMPLE

The majority of this job will be researching online (property listings, finding materials and prices etc.) You will be given a task for example, find all two floor houses in Calgary that are:

- located on the east end of the city

- next to major highways and good public schools

(you will have to research the highways and best public schools and see where they are located in the city, then narrow your search results for the properties)

- have three bedrooms or more

- have an unfinished basement, a staircase in the middle of the house and wooden floors (you will have to open the potential listings and look through the photos to decide)

- find the reason for the sale of the home (make phone calls for all the short listed properties to inquire)

- finding new tenants for properties (very rarely)

- taking care of maintenance issues

- booking flights

- making reservations

- online payments

- interviewing other candidates

This is a great opportunity and can be very rewarding for the right candidate. You will be able to work remotely from your home - you can travel to visit your family as often as you would like for the most part, you may have days where you are working only an hour, so you can have another part time job or just enjoy the time off. But, when there is work to be completed, we expect it to be done diligently and to a high standard.
