Department Description:
Emirates NBD Group IT is undergoing a leading digital transformation that will drive efficiency across all units The Compute division is an integral part of this activity and will be responsible to drive the continuous product engineering lifecycle of a defined set of technologies that will deliver a standard stack of consumable products within Emirates NBD Datacenters in the following areas
1 Database covering traditional and contemporary DB products
2 Unix Middleware covering RISC HW Unix OS and Middleware products
3 Elastic Compute covering X86 HW Windows Linux OS J2EENET platform Storage Backup platforms and Virtualization products
4 IT Leveraged tools covering the Core IT leveraged products such as Active Directory Exchange Antivirus
5 Infrastructure as a Service covering the orchestration platform the automation for Infrastructure and application end to end deployment on the standard technology stack
The Units key objectives are to onboard and maintain the selected products Faster Better and Cheaper
Brief Description: The senior technology Engineer will play a key role in driving the engineering function within Emirates NBD Group for the technologies heshe is responsible for While managing the day to day operational activities is not expected here this role will be accountable for the overall platform operational stability by working with the platform owner and Senior Engineers to deliver the agreed product roadmap that guarantees the product operational efficiency

This is a project delivery focused role that will ensure the following activities are implemented Standardization Automation Monitoring and Capacity planning
Job Requirements: Drive projects to move the noncompliant products into the standard stack
Establish the product backlog that require to be addressed on quarterly basis
Drive backlog projects to completion
Continuous RD and vendor engagement
Automate the installation to achieve Zero touch unattended deployment
Review all housekeeping activities and identify key processes that should be automated
Design solutions that caters for enhancing the operational stability
Address Problem tickets Risk and Audit items in the products backlog
Additional Details: Bachelors of Computer Science or Equivalent
Relevant Certification
8 years of experience at a relevant Technical position in large organizations
Banking background
Expert knowledge in designing and implementing the respective technology and products
Excellent knowledge in the product licensing
Strategic Thinking with Research and Development mindset
adequate understanding of project management methodologies
Excellent communication skillsverbal written and presentation
Qualifications AS Mentioned in the JD
