Management Level Senior Manager

Job Description & Summary We currently have opportunities for an ambitious and highly motivated Senior Manager with a proven track record of high quality delivery of client projects around accounting change and specifically the new IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 accounting standards. We would like to hear from candidates with experience of leading impact assessment and/ or implementation projects for IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and demonstrating a track record of leading teams, managing client relationships and technical expertise. A key part of this role would also be taking ownership and driving key areas of business development around this proposition

Responsibilities:

• You will be required to possess strong organisation and project management skills – in order to lead both complex assignments and drive key business development areas of the proposition.
• You will be required to demonstrate strong client management, project budgeting and team coaching and resource management across a variety of clients. A key part of delivery will be the creation, review and delivery of complex client deliverables which will include executive level reporting through to detailed design documentation.
• Developing yourself personally, taking a keen interest in developments and industry specific issues across IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and the impact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market
• The role also requires that the candidate has strong accounting technical skills across IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and can demonstrate insight and knowledge from application of these standards on client assignments.
• Working with colleagues in global and all Middle Eastern offices on client work and internal initiative.
• Keeping up to date with current trends from the region and from across the world and develop thought leadership around key IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 trends.
• As a Senior Manager in the team, the role includes wider practice management responsibilities which will include coaching, training and mentoring junior staff, competency development and market eminence activities.
• The role provides the opportunity for the candidate to take on business development opportunities and be in the market developing relationships and winning work. This would sit alongside the opportunity to lead and inspire teams and coach junior team members.

• The candidate will be achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive on a daily basis. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team with a fast pace and a high energy that will translate into a high quality output.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant subject areas such as accounting or finance.
• Mandatory professional accounting qualification should be held from a recognised body.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS standards and specifically IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Implementation experience
• Exposure to IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 projects across multiple industries.
• Strong interest and passion for taking on responsibilities to win work and leading and inspiring teams
• Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Proven IT skills in the following programmes excel, word, PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Fluent in English but multilingual Arabic speaker preferable.
• The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East and worldwide where the project dictates.

Minimum years experience required

• Years of Experience: 8 to 10 years in professional practice years of relevant experience in audit and accounting advisory roles, preferably within a professional services environment.
