On behalf of our client (banking group) headquartered in Dubai, UAE ; we are recruiting for the below position:
Position Title: Manager - Events and Communications
Department: Digital Office
Reporting to: Group Chief Digital Officer
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Unit / Function: Communications and Events
Purpose: This is a critical Digital Office role as it is accountable for supporting the Group Chief Digital Officer and his direct reports to clearly communicate and gain both engagement and support for its ongoing strategic activities.
Both strategic and tactical delivery is required in key areas:
Internal communications
to all Group stakeholders to ensure everyone understands the Digital Office's ambitions, particularly in its early conception stages and subsequently supports such strategic initiatives to ensure the Digital Office successfully permeates through all organizational functions. Education will prove key including the socialization of new concepts like "design-led" initiatives as well as innovations like Block chain and Artificial Intelligence
External communications
to position the organization as a digital leader initially on a regional basis with the end-aspiration of a global basis as well. Primarily focusing on public relations, this will include issuing press releases, writing editorials, organizing media round-tables, liaising with journalists and dedicated PR agency, and ensuring appropriate attendance at key digital conference by Digital Office representatives.
Requirements: Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in communications & events
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, IT, Event Management or similar
Ideally UAE / regional experience
Digital Banking experience is preferable
