JOB PURPOSE - Assist the team in achieving both financial and non-financial objectives.
- Ensure timely origination of credit proposals, spreading of financial statements and raising of obligor risk rating as per the credit policies and guidelines.
- Ensure that proper due diligence is conducted on all new clients that are being on-boarded including KYC preparation, AML checks, CBRB reports, market intelligence, industry analysis etc.
- To monitor portfolio utilization levels and follow up with clients.
- To liaise with operations, Credit Administration and ensure that all transactions are conducted in a timely manner.
- Understand customer's business & industry trends, that would help identify risks and its possible implications for the bank.
- To ensure proper Housekeeping, documentation and limits availability.
- To monitor the portfolio regularly for risk triggers, covenant breaches and audit readiness etc.
- Adherence to bank's policies, processes and values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ OUTPUT EXPECTED
- Help the unit achieve financial targets as well as non-financial deliverables.
- Monitor market and competitors' activities to ensure opportunities for new customer acquisitions and enhanced market share in the segment.
- Ownership of portfolio vis a vis front end service and account management
- Preparing Credit Application and conducting detailed financial analysis. Memo Update where relevant for all clients.
- Execute customer instructions & resolve customer queries/ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide financial advice to clients to maximize returns and minimize risks based on clients' financial profile.
Skills KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum University Graduate. (preferably with a major in Finance and /or Banking)
- Proven Track record in a similar role in corporate banking (credit Analyst/ ARM etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand and grasp new things and solve problems
- Adequate knowledge of Local/Islamic regulations and requirements
- Ability to be an effective team player with strong communication skills.
- Strong background in understanding of Corporate Banking proposition along with knowledge of local market and competitor offerings.
