Position Objective This role is a key member of the MENAPT Channel and Enterprise Services team with direct product ownership of Channels, Enterprise Services and Capabilities that improve digitization, digital security, provide information and account reporting to TTS clients across MENAPT.
Revenue for client information and account reporting services managed by this role exceeds US$0.5mm per annum, while the cost saves from the digital security initiatives reach US$1.9mm (EMEA). More importantly these services complement and support Citi's customer franchises in payments, receivables, liquidity management services and supplier finance, with over 100,000 reports and statements delivered to customers on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities The MENAPT CES Product Manager will manage a portfolio of product capabilities and key developments that will improve client experience, digitize processes while delivering the cost saves, promote standardisation, reinforce and build upon Citi’s leading position in Straight-Through Reconciliation (STR) and other client information services. The successful individual will work closely with in-country teams across EMEA on Digital agenda, CitiDirect BE, CitiConnect and APIs and with other TTS EMEA product managers to ensure Citi’s STR and information products meet our client’s reconciliation and reporting needs across payments, receivables and liquidity management services. Close partnership with the global product team, and coordination with colleagues in other regions is critical to ensure EMEA’s vision and requirements for STR and client information capabilities are promoted and aligned.
Main activities include:
- Lead the commercialisation of CitiDirect BE, CitiConnect and API services
Lead the commercialization of MobilePASS capability across the MENAPT region. Improved client experience and strengthen cyber security while delivering expense reduction through replacement of SafeWord tokens. Achieve the quarterly and annual commercialisation targets.
- Drive Digitization experience across Citi and client's offices
- Contribute to the development and execute Channels Strategy, ensuring the best - safe, consistent and harmonised user experience across all channels and geographies in ever-changing regulatory landscape.
- Lead the development and roll out of product capabilities, with close attention to message formats, delivery over CitiDirect, CitiConnect and SWIFT channels, and client systems integration needs.
- Ensure Citi’s account statements and reports adhere to industry standards and market practices where applicable.
- Represent Citi and contribute to industry working groups, including Innovation and Fintech ecosystems, bank statements and reporting capabilities, e.g. the ISO 20022 XML Common Global Implementation (CGI) forum
- Support and provide subject matter expertise to TTS Sales on the design of customer solutions involving STR requirements.
- Work with regional and global partners to maintain consistency of MENAPT capabilities and business processes with other regions, and across multiple delivery channels.
- Coordinate across product teams and TTS functions to define requirements and agree delivery schedules related to Channel Solutions, STR and reporting capabilities.
- Define and report MENAPT and client information metrics.
- Participate in the CRM Deal Review product approval process for CES products.
- Support training of TTS Sales, Client Delivery and Customer Services teams
Drive SWIFT GPI adoption and usage
Drive Innovation agenda for MENAPT, including engagement with Fintech ecosystems
Deliver an Open Banking strategy around APIs - commercialize
Deliver the Account Services agenda including document rationalization initiatives

The CES Product Manager will interact regularly at various levels with partners in Operations, Technology, Solution Sales, Client Delivery and Customer Services, and will frequently be at the hub of cross functional teams where there will be an opportunity and expectation to demonstrate leadership.
Qualifications Knowledge/Experience - Minimum 8 years of experience in transaction banking, either in TTS product, operations, or technology roles
- Experience of product launch / commercialization and familiarity with the framework
- Experience in Innovation workshops - familiarity with emerging technologies
- Arabic language skills are an advantage for this role
Skills - Excellent powerpoint skills to create client-facing presentation slides
- Excellent spreadsheet skills to analyse and summarise product metrics and other management information
- Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications, e.g. SWIFT User Handbook, EPC SEPA ISO 20022 XML Implementation Guides
- Detailed knowledge of electronic bank statements, SWIFT, ISO 20022 XML and EDI message standards will be an advantage
- Experience of AP and AR functions, ERP and treasury systems, and transaction banking desirable
- Appreciation of project management principles and software development life cycle

Qualifications MBA or Graduate Degree Preferred
