1. A seasoned financial markets professional with exposure to local equity markets at a senior level role.
2. Manage all functions of the company, lead the staff, manage key client relationships, manage regulatory compliance and work with other departments of CBD to ensure smooth operations of the company.
3. Responsibilities include overseeing Trading activity, Operations activity, Compliance function, Financial Control and reporting and managing regulatory requirements.
4. Convene regular meetings with the direct reports to provide feedback on the progress. Manage a clear performance management and development system in line with CBD's policies.
5. Institutionalize effective performance monitoring system, innovative reward scheme to promote performance-driven culture and to retain good performers.
6. Meet stock market authorities and Securities and Commodities Authority to ensure that procedures and policies are aligned with the markets and regulators.
7. Maintain close relationships with key clients to increase trading and revenue opportunities.
8. Remain up-to-date with the market trends to maximize volume of business and profitability.
9. Submit periodical reports covering the information such as financial performance against the agreed targets, key business events, future milestones and other matters of strategic importance.
10. Continuously improve Operations, IT and Delivery Channels to increase efficiency and client experience.
11. Increase the usage of alternative channels: Mobile and Internet Channels to increase efficiency and profitability.
12. Ensure that business activity run smoothly and efficiently by providing leadership, training and supervision.
13. Advise Senior Management of CBD about emerging compliance and regulatory matters and establish sufficient control measures to mitigate risks.
14. Ensure compliance with Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) on brokerage policy guidelines and follow up on audit observations, internal and external reporting obligations to ensure value based business performance.
15. Develop appropriate MIS to provide timely and relevant information to management
16. Train, develop, motivate and review the performance of unit staff members to enable them to perform to high standards and develop their potential to enhance their knowledge based skills. Organize seminars to enhance the awareness of the market trends of our product.
Skills Experience 10 - 12 years in Financial industry with at least 5 year in senior position in the area of brokerage
- Good Knowledge of Banking operations and portfolio Management.
- Good knowledge of stock market activities and the knowledge of emerging market economy would be an added advantage
