Our Middle East operation is seeking to appoint a QA/QC Manager to join the GHD team, initially project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified, ISO accredited with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, from a consulting/construction environment and has a proven working knowledge of the following:

• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard
• Creation, review and implementation of quality plans and quality related documentation
• Auditing processes for reviewing quality systems undertaken by Contractor and Designer
• Management of a team of QA/QC Engineers and liaison with the Technical team.

You will have experience with:

• Review and management of the Contractor’s Quality Plan
• Review of Contractor’s Inspection and Testing Plans
• Review of inspection records for compliance with Quality Plan and testing plans
• Performance of audits of Contractor’s quality documentation
• Issuance of NCR’s, Deficiency Correction reporting and close out
• Chairing of QA/QC meetings where outstanding NCR’s, audit results and deficiency corrections are discussed with the Contractor, PMC and Employers Representative
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports

You will also perform the following and must have experience in;

• Writing reports for management
• Internal auditing
• Review of material submittals and method statements
• Witnessing of Testing
• Understanding of QMS implementation and project handover requirements
• Commentary on progress of work in terms of time and quality.

Excellent written and spoken English skills required. Arabic speaking would be desirable. Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems requirements is essential.
