JOB DESCRIPTION * Works with the pipeline design team on onshore and offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering,
FEED, detailed design and EPC; EPCM projects. Has overall responsibility for the man hour & schedule
monitoring and control and quality of the work produced.
Prepares scope of work, man hour and cost estimates for proposals.
Mentors young pipeline engineers and provide advice to peers In his field of expertise.
Develops pipeline design basis.
Prepares pipeline material, coating, testing and installation specifications.
Prepares pipeline material requisition, perform technical bid evaluation; analysis and vendor data review.
Performs pipelines design activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS * Education: At least degree level qualifications in Mechanical, Marine, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Experience: 12 years experience in pipeline engineering design work in Oil &Gas.
Knowledge of Finite Element analysis ( FEA )
Experience in ABAQUS, ORCAFLEX, Sage Profile, flexible pipes and umbilical is an advantage.
Qualifications: It is essential that the candidate is a competent user of pipeline engineering software - AGA, CAESAR /I &
MATHCAD.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
The ability to lead and function as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to maintain clear
understanding of design issues, progress and objectives is required.
