Our Client, a diversified group of companies, is currently looking for a General Manager for the group's Facilities Management entity. Main duties and responsibilities include:
Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, cleaning MEP, AC division, maintenance etc.
Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance and security
Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Develop operational guidelines and implement measures to ensure effective functioning of processes and work flow within the Operations function; monitor the adherence of operational standards, rules and regulations, health, safety and security and facilities management
Create a budget for various facility needs and expenses
Compare costs for various services and goods before choosing the best options for the facility
Manage the maintenance of the building by performing repairs or contracting maintenance services as needed
Track building upkeep as well as anticipated long- and short-term improvements and maintenance
Interview and hire certain facility employees and contractors, such as maintenance staff
Handle certain administrative tasks, such as preparing reports for facility owners
Direct and oversee the activities of FM Strategy & Business Development, aiming at identifying, analyzing and recommending specific business opportunities for the profitable growth and diversification of FM.
Skills Bachelor's Degree (ideally mechanical / civil engineering discipline)
Hands on experience in facilities management background.
Must have recent UAE FM experience.
Min 10-12 yrs experience in FM and Business Development
Ability to develop, define and articulate Strategy business plans
FM industry awareness
UAE market and competitor knowledge
Budgeting & costing skills
