We are seeking a fullstack web engineer (Java) to contribute to the development of the next generation of our customer web experience. As part of an Agile team, the senior developer in this role will be responsible for the design, development of new microservices as well as maintenance of the legacy ERP system. You will also actively collaborate with Business and other IT stakeholders to anticipate emergent needs and support business agility.
JOB FUNCTIONS - Code, develop, test, debug, and design new features, microservices and APIs for the Helpbit Backend System
- Maintain Opentaps ERP to ensure high performance and high availability
- Making enhancements to various Java and RESTFul service APIs that meets business and auditing requirements
- Follows and executes on CI/CD practices for the product (including meeting code quality matrices, & test automations)
- Interact with various teams and share knowledge effectively with all stakeholders
- Prepares documentation that describes installation and operating procedures, including application user guides, with limited guidance.
REQUIREMENTS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS - Must have at least 5+ years of experience in application development using Java/J2EE
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JMS, Apache Camel, Opentaps/Apache OFBiz
- Experience with most of the following: Java (or other JVM languages) and related technologies: Javascript, jQuery, HTML, AngularJS or similar frameworks, Grails, building and using Microservices, building and consuming RESTful APIs architecture (AWS preferred)
- Experience with BPM Process Modeling, Camunda BPM Platform is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL)
- Experience with data store tools and building schemas (Elasticsearch, Redis)
- Expertise with build tools such as Maven, Ant, Gradle, AWS architecture and potentially Docker/microservices/containers
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related fields or equivalent work experience
- Startup mentality is a must.
