We are currently looking for Senior Contract Engineer to join the ENERCON team in UAE. This position will advice, guidance and support on contractual matters related to Prime Contract, processes, and procedures, including administration and preparation of correspondence, task order management, claims resolution, and subcontracts review and managing CPO's Procurement requisitions.
This will be a contract position for ~12+ months based overseas at Barakah Nuclear Plant.
Provide advice, guidance and support contractual matters relating to Prime Contract raised by CPO team including preparation/review of incoming and outgoing correspondence in order to facilitate informed decision making
Review and support dispute avoidance/resolution and claim issues including procedures relating to appointment of Experts and Arbitrate on in order to minimize downtimes and dispute related costs
Prepare and review contractual responses to Prime Contractor as well as manage correspondence and delegation to functional leads in order to ensure the smooth running of the contract administration.
Administer Task Order preparation, development, authorization, and control as required to facilitate adequate Fixed Rate and Cost Reimbursable work.
Administer and review and perform the preparation of monthly invoice verification report for fixed price, fixed rate and cost reimbursable scope of works. In addition, prepare and administer non-prime invoice reports and invoice management.
Administer and perform required CPO Contract Administration Reporting in a timely basis.
Follow all relevant department HSE policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work
As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration of various major projects such as Construction and Infrastructure.Extensive knowledge in the use of contract administration process and tools
Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong Communication and negotiation
Proactive, enthusiastic and practical
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
